Just In Time for Christmas

Some cool last minute items arrived today for Christmas. We received Captain Sonar, Potion Explosion, Energy Empire and Cry Havoc, all of which sold out at GenCon and just came back into distribution. We also managed to find starters and boosters for the long out of print MechWarrior game as well as various pieces for the equally long out of  print Mage Knight Dungeons, which make pretty nice pieces for any miniatures or tabletop RPG on their own. Limited quantities on all of these items and we will be open until 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day.

Christmas Party and Drawing

Join us today, Sunday December 18, for cookies, doughnuts, hot cider and our annual Christmas drawing at 4 p.m. You receive 1 ticket for coming in, 1 if you have a Preferred Customer Card, 1 for each 5 cans or other usable food items, and 1 for each stamp earned on a Castle Card today. Drawing will take place starting at 4 p.m and you must be present to win.

Stocking Stuffer of the Year

What is the Stocking Stuffer of the Year? Each year we select a game that meets three criteria:

  1.  It is fun to play
  2. It has a small package, the better to fit into a stocking
  3. It costs less than $20

The Stocking Stuffer of the Year in 2014 was Asmodee’s Timeline, a fun game that only costs $14.99 and in which knowledge of history helps but is not necessary. 2015’s choice was Love Letter, a neat little game of bluffing that can play in less than 15 minutes.

What is 2016’s Stocking Stuffer of the Year? Check back here on Monday or listen to Scott on Talk of the Town at 1o a.m. on December 12.
