Castle Perilous Games, located in Carbondale Illinois, is approximately 2000 square feet of New and Used Role Playing Games, New and Used Board Games and War Games, trading card games, and miniatures, as well as Hard to Find Games. We aslo have alising of In-Store Gamin gEvents, a Gaming Forum, TCG and Miniatures leagues and more. Not only do we carry the major lines such as Wizards of the Coast, TSR, Avalon Hill, Fast Forward, Games Workshop, Reaper, Confrontation, and White Wolf, we also carry games produced by small publishers such as Grey Ghost, 9th Level, Hekaforge, Basement Games and Cheapass Games. We also carry a complete line of Games Workshop products. If you are looking for popular collectable card games, such as Yu Gi Oh, Magic: the Gathering, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Dragonball Z, we carry all the new decks and booster packs, as well as in-demand single cards. In addition, Castle Perilous carries one of the largest selections of used and out-of-print games in the Midwest, with hard to find games from Steve Jackson Games, TSR, White Wolf and Avalon Hill available on a regular basis.

Trade Policy

Castle Perilous offers trade or cash on used or hard to find games. We will only offer cash after 4:00 P.M. The maximum we offer is 25% of what our sale price will be in Cash and up to 75% of our sale price in store trade. We reserve the right to refuse any item or change this policy on a case-by-case basis. We currently are trading for Magic and Yu Gi Oh cards. Call ahead for our interest in cards for other games.

In Store Customer Services

Game Room: Expanded Game Room Hours: Castle Perilous is pleased to announce that we will be offering expanded Game Room hours. The Castle Perilous Game Room will be open until 9 p.m. most nights.. If you would like to schedule a game on one of these nights just let us know.
Sodas and Snacks: As always, Castle Perilous offers a well stocked frig full of Soda for $0.75 along with candy bars, jerky, chips, Ramen noodles, Pocky  and Ramune for modest costs.

Search Service:  We offer a search service for out of print games, single cards, toys and comics.  Ask for details at the counter.

Comic Pull & Hold:  We offer a pull and hold service for new comics.  You can fill out a pull and hold form at the store and we will start holding your comics 1-2 months after we receive the form.  All comics on your form get free bags and boards and holds on 10 ongoing series gets you a free copy of Previews each month.  You can cancel a hold at anytime but are expected to get the following 2 issues after the cancel notice.
