Peasant Magic Tournaments

In order to try a different Modern format, we will start running Modern Peasant Magic tournament every Monday night for 4 weeks and see if there is any interest.  Cost is $5.

For those unfamiliar with the Peasant format, all tournament Magic rules apply but your deck consists of a maximum of 5 uncommons with all other cards in your deck uncommon.

From the Vault: Angels Contest

Want to win a box of From the Vault: Angels? Here’s how. Either post  on our Facebook page, email us or drop off a list of what cards you think the set will include. The person with the most cards on their list correct wins a set of FTV: Angels. Contest ends on August 21 or whenever the first WOTC spoiler list gets posted or leaked. In case of a tie, the earliest list wins.

Modern Masters 2

We have had a number of people asking us about pre-ordering  Modern Masters 2 for Magic the Gathering and we finally received our allocations. We have 30 displays available for sale for $240 for the first display and $10 more for each additional display. Sorry, no mail orders, unless you are a Preferred Customer. That means you must come into the store and pre-pay for your display before we will put one on hold for you. We are accepting pre-payments now.

Dragons of Tarkir Game Days

We will host 2 Game Days for the new Dragons of Tarkir set this weekend April 18 and 19, one at 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Format is Standard and cost is $5. All players get a promo card with a separate promo for top 8 and a playmat for the winner. In addition, each round won will earn you one pack of Dragons of Tarkir and a roll upon the Dragonfury board for a chance to win additional promos.

Dragons of Tarkir Pre-release

The first pre-release session for Dragons of Tarkir starts Saturday morning at 12:01 a.m. We will open at 10 a.m. on Friday as usual and close when the pre-release ends, typically around 4 a.m.  Though it is too late to score the $5 savings for registering early, if you register and pay by 9 p.m Friday night, you can still pick your clan, though Oujtai is spoken for.
